Strollerbrary

Bring your small children in strollers for 45 to 60-minute adult-paced walks on walking trails in Sandpoint and Dover.

Engage with child development professionals each week and connect with other parents. Free books to match the weekly theme will also be available.
Friday mornings at 10 AM.

  • June 14th: Long Bridge Trail. Meet at the trailhead by Conoco gas station. Talk about Early Literacy w/ Suzanne Davis, Youth Services Librarian.
  • June 21st: Sand Creek Trail. Meet at the trailhead. Talk with Jordan Pratt, Registered Dietician at Panhandle Health District 1, about children and food.
  • June 28th: Long Bridge Trail. Meet at the trailhead by Conoco gas station. Talk with Heather Lowman, Ready! for kindergarten Program Director about kindergarten readiness skills from birth on..
  • July 5th: No Walk
  • July 12th: Dover Community Trail. Meet at Dover City Hall (by Dover City Park). Talk with Elizabeth Larson, a developmental specialist with Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, about children and social-emotional health and milestones.
  • July 19th: Pend Oreille Bay Trail. Meet at the trailhead. Talk with Heather Nesbitt, certified dental assistant, about children and dental health.
  • July 26th: Sand Creek Trail. Meet at the trailhead. Talk with Traci Schmidt, MSPT, pediatric clinical specialist and owner of All about Kids, about children and physical and social-emotional health and milestones.
  • August 2nd: Pend Oreille Bay Trail. Meet at the trailhead.  Talk with Andrew and Tara Vizcarra, pediatricians with Kaniksu Community Health, about children and their physical, emotional, and intellectual health.

Strollerbary is part of our summer reading program, “Adventure begins at your library.”
