POSTPONED: Spacepoint Presents: Intro to Rocketry
This event has been postponed until November 9th.
Spacepoint returns to the library for Intro to Rocketry, our second design, build and launch event at the Sandpoint Library. Spacepoint will provide rockets for registrants to design and assemble before launching them later in the day.
Ahead of the building, enjoy a presentation by Dr. Marty Weiser, Former Department Chair of Mechanical Engineering for Eastern Washington University. This presentation will cover an overview of rocketry and the American Rocketry Challenge.
This fun and engaging event is recommended for ages 10+ and is great for kids assembling their first rocket and even professionals crafting specialized launches from scratch. All children must be accompanied by an adult or guardian to help with instructions and cutting for the build and transportation to the launch site. Launch Location: New Waldorf School campus & Farm – 766 N. Kootenai Rd. Sandpoint, ID 83864
A special thanks goes to the Community Assistance League for funding to make this event possible.
Registration and space for this program is limited, so be sure to register quickly!
