Intro to Seed Saving

Gather in the Library Garden to learn the fundamentals of seed saving. Kelsey Racicot from Rugged Roots Farm has been saving seeds for years at her farm in Bayview, Idaho. She will demonstrate how to get started with simple methods and tools that most people can use in their own gardens. We will harvest seeds from the Library Garden, and you will be able to take some home to plant next year.

About the presenter:
Kelsey Racicot is co-owner of Rugged Roots Farm, an ecologically minded vegetable, flower, fruit, and herb operation, with her husband in Bayview, Idaho. She is passionate about good food shared together with friends and family especially meals that are crafted from homegrown soils. When she isn’t gardening she can be found hiking with her dog, reading by the fire in winter, crafting in her she-shed, and traveling this incredible planet. She loves encouraging people to grow abundant gardens and find their own joy in working whatever plot or pot of soil they have.
