Fiction Writers Open Mic Night
Come join in a fun, fast-paced evening of fiction writers reading their work! Fairy tales? High Fantasy? Mystery? Thriller? Poetry?– it’s anybody’s guess what tales we’ll hear!
Writers read aloud their own fictional work in an encouraging, easygoing, dynamic setting while cheering each other on!
We’d love to have you there. Sign up for a time slot and read aloud a selection from something you’ve written, or just come enjoy the show and connect with new friends. Everybody’s welcome, including first-time readers, veteran performers, devoted fans and casual listeners!
Hosted by the Library and the Sandpoint Storymakers.
About Sandpoint Storymakers:
Have you ever wanted to write a book?
The Sandpoint Storymakers are a group of writers who support each other in starting and completing their creative work, whether that’s fiction, poetry, comics, or other kinds of storytelling. We create an engaging and positive environment for creatives to progress, through weekly check-ins, fun writing exercises, and cheering on each other’s successes. Our attendees range in experience from high school students writing their first books to career tellers of tales — everybody has something to offer.
We meet every Tuesday from 5 pm to 7 pm, at the East Bonner County Library in Sandpoint. Anyone who wants to write a story is welcome – we’ll help you make it happen.
