Teen Leadership Council

Join the Teen Leadership Council

We are looking for a group of dedicated, local youth interested in making a difference at the Library and in their community to join the Teen Leadership Council (TLC).

The goal of the TLC is to give the Library a new perspective on youth and to give youth a new perspective on libraries. TLC members will play a critical role in developing the Library’s young adult book collection, planning library programs for teens and making the Library an overall friendly place for you.

The TLC members will meet once a month in an open-forum setting to discuss the issues related specifically to the Library. Your time on the TLC will qualify for community service hours and can be used on college and job applications. And if ever requested, the library will provide letters of recommendation and references regarding your service.

If you’re a teen and this sounds interesting to you, we’d love for you to join the Teen Leadership Council.

Apply to join below!

As a TLC member, I understand that I am required to attend Teen Leadership Council meetings each month and participate in planning and attending at least 1 Library program while participating in the Teen Leadership Council.

As a representative of the library, I will conduct myself with integrity and with respect for the library, my colleagues, and library staff and patrons.
